Jermaine Dupri Net Worth $3 Million
Even though Jermaine Dupri has established himself as a rap artist in the music industry, he is more influential and known as a record producer. Dupri’s first production attempt was Usher’s second studio album entitled “My Way”, a commercial success, which sold more than 7 million copies worldwide and topped the music charts. That same year, Jermaine Dupri worked with Mariah Carey, Mase, and Jagged Edge and produced such works as “A Jagged Era”, “Harlem World” and “Honey”. When Dupri became known as a successful producer, he joined forces with more artists, including TLC, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, and Chris Brown, and came out with such popular works as Monica’s “After the Storm” work, TLC’s “Fanmail” album, Bow Wow’s “Wanted” album and many more. More recently, in 2012, he produced a single for Monica’s album “New Life” under the name of “Always”.
A famous rapper and a record producer, how rich is Jermaine Dupri? Sources state that Jermaine Dupri’s net worth is estimated to be $3 million. Jermaine Dupri’s net worth amounted to as much as $60 million in 2006, yet since then he has been having many financial issues, which cut his net worth to $3 million. Jermaine Dupri was born in 1972, in Asheville, North Carolina. Dupri’s interest in music landed him an opportunity to work as a dancer for a hip hop trio called “Whodini”, with whom he was even featured on television. However, soon enough Dupri decided to move on from being a dancer into producing his own acts. Dupri’s first attempt at producing was a hip hop group known as “Silk Tymes Leather”. Shortly afterwards, Jermaine Dupri created a rap duo under the name of “Kris Kross”, which released their debut album called “Totally Crossed Out” in 1992. The group’s first attempt resulted in multi-platinum certification, and in turn presented Dupri as a talented producer. Dupri then went on to discover “Xscape”, worked on Destiny’s Child self-titled album, and discovered Lil Bow Wow, whom he later signed to his “So So Def Recordings” label.

| 1 | In the strip club, the music is more grimier than what you hear on the radio. It's like a D.J. in New York playing a mix-tape. |
| 2 | "Somebody told me that I'll be able to eat off of "We Belong Together" [by Mariah Carey] for the rest of my life". |
| 3 | But does a Grammy really determine if I'm the producer of the year? The Grammys are going to be over in one night. My songs are probably going to be on the radio for the rest of the year. |
